Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson has stated that the franchise needs to start the season a lot better than they did the last.
The Nets began the 2013-14 campaign sluggishly, and were only able to make the playoffs thanks to a revival which allowed former boss Jason Kidd to become the first rookie coach to win a game seven fixture in the NBA's history.
"It wasn't what I expected. I expected more from us as a team," Johnson told reporters.
"Every year, it seems as if we start from scratch. Hopefully, this year, we start out better."
The Nets will have the chance to start their campaign off with a victory when they face the Boston Celtics on October 29.
