Paul Pierce out for 2-4 weeks

Paul Pierce is ruled out for up to four weeks due to a fractured hand, the Brooklyn Nets confirm.

The Brooklyn Nets have confirmed that Paul Pierce faces up to four weeks on the sidelines due to a broken bone in his hand.

Pierce picked up the injury in the first half of Brooklyn's loss to the Houston Rockets on Friday.

The injury to the 36-year-old adds to the team's problems, with Deron Williams, Andrei Kirilenko and Jason Terry also unavailable to head coach Jason Kidd.

Pierce joined the Nets from the Boston Celtics in the summer.
