Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams has insisted that his team want to "run New York" as the war of words with the New York Knicks continues.
The likes of Paul Pierce and JR Smith have been involved in an exchange of words in recent weeks, and Williams has now shared his opinion on the matter.
"Of course we want to run New York. The Knicks are our rival. I don't get into too much of the talking," he said, according to ESPN New York.
"We'll decide all that on the court. We have four games to play against them and then the playoffs so I'll let Paul do the talking and I'll just go out there and play."
The Nets have reinforced significantly this summer, with new head coach Jason Kidd joined by the likes of Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko.
