Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams took part in full practice on Thursday for the first time since spraining his ankle during an off-season workout in Utah.
The 29-year-old has not played in a single pre-season game due to the injury, but he was involved in some five-on-five half-court contact without any further setbacks, according to New York Daily News.
With the season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers less than a week away, the Nets have not given up hope of their star featuring.
However, they have yet to announce whether or not he will play any part in Friday's pre-season game against the Miami Heat.
