Chicago Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler has reportedly indicated that he would like to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers this summer.
Butler is a restricted free agent this summer and after winning the NBA's Most Improved Player award, there is expected to be interest in the 25-year-old's services.
According to the LA Daily News, a source close to Butler has suggested that he wants to sign a one-year contract with the Lakers before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year when the league's new television deal will allow players to negotiate bigger deals.
However, a move to the Lakers remains unlikely as the Bulls are expected to exercise their right to match any offer the All-Star receives in restricted free agency.
Butler averaged 20 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game last season.
