Denver Nuggets trade Ty Lawson to Houston Rockets

The Denver Nuggets agree a trade deal that sends Ty Lawson to the Houston Rockets in exchange for a Draft pick and four bench players.

The Denver Nuggets have announced that point guard Ty Lawson has been traded to the Houston Rockets.

As part of the deal, the Nuggets are to receive Houston's lottery-protected 2016 first-round pick, as well as bench players Nick Johnson, Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni and Joey Dorsey.

The 27-year-old Lawson made 75 starts for the Nuggets last season, but was recently embroiled in controversy as he was reportedly arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Before today's deal, Lawson had spent the entirety of his career at Denver.
