Former NBA player and current commentator Charles Barkley has labelled some of the Detroit Pistons players "idiots".

Barkley was speaking as Pistons forward Andre Drummond shone in the All-Star weekend's Rising Star contest, with the analyst singling Drummond out from his teammates.

"He's a terrific player who's playing with those other idiots up in Detroit. And they're not going to win," Barkley said on air.

"They've got some idiots on that team. They've got some talented players who are not going to ever get it."

The Pistons currently occupy third place in the Central Division, with a record of 22-30 for the season.
