The Detroit Pistons have announced that they have signed point guard John Lucas III until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old had previously signed two 10-day contracts with the Pistons, and he played eight games for them in that time.
The Pistons are in need of extra cover at point guard following the Achilles injury to Brandon Jennings.
Lucas III averages just over 12 minutes a game for the Michigan side, and scores an average of five points a match.
The Pistons host the New York Knicks on Friday.
