The Golden State Warriors have confirmed that Andrew Bogut suffered a concussion in the victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
Bogut was forced to wear a mask in the season opener due to a broken nose, but the center was dealt another blow when a collision on the floor left him with a cut eye.
The Warriors clinched the win without Bogut, who needed stitches to repair the cut and now looks set for a spell out of action due to concussion.
Bogut, who recorded 12 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win, will not be allowed to return for the champions until he passes the NBA's concussion protocol.
Golden State are back in action against the Houston Rockets on Friday night.
