Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has revealed that Andre Iguodala will continue to come off the bench next season.
Iguodala remained in a reserve role throughout last season despite starting all 758 games in his career prior to it.
However, he became a starter from game four in the NBA Finals onwards, finishing the series with averages of 16.3 points, 4.0 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.
"I saw him at the postgame party in Cleveland, went up and said, 'Congrats, MVP, you were incredible, what a job. And you're going back to the bench next year,'" Kerr told the San Jose Mercury News.
"He laughed. And I laughed. Obviously kind of a joke."
Iguodala took the opportunity to play a prank on social media by sending out a tweet demanding a trade.
