Report: Golden State Warriors approach Steve Kerr

The Golden State Warriors reportedly approach former Phoenix Suns general manager Steve Kerr over their coaching vacancy.

The Golden State Warriors have reportedly approached Steve Kerr following the firing of coach Mark Jackson yesterday.

The Pacific Division side dismissed the coach, who had been with the team since 2011, following their exit from the playoffs at the weekend.

According to the New York Daily News, the team have reached out to the former Phoenix Suns general manager, who currently works as a commentator and analyst for TNT.

Kerr, who won five NBA titles during his playing career, has also been linked to the coaching vacancy at the New York Knicks, while the Utah Jazz are also said to be interested in the 48-year-old.
