Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has been unable to set a date for his return as he continues to recover from two back operations.
Kerr needed the surgeries in the summer after battling an injury he suffered during Golden State's NBA title-winning season.
Despite starting pre-season in charge of the team, Kerr has been forced to take a break to ensure that he makes a full recovery, and he could be absent when the Warriors start the new campaign against the New Orleans Pelicans next Tuesday.
"He still doesn't know," interim coach Luke Walton told reporters. "He's not going to force a return. There's no timetable still. He's been around more lately, which is great. As long as it's not affecting his recovery, I think it's healthy for the guys to see him."
Kerr needed a second operation to address a spinal fluid leak after the first procedure repaired a ruptured disc.
