Steve Nash has admitted that he is open to missing some games for the Los Angeles Lakers during the season.
The 39-year-old, who is currently the oldest player on any roster in the NBA, claims that it is possible that he could play a reduced role for Mike D'Antoni's men.
"Mike mentioned it to me," Nash told ESPN. "I'm open to it. Obviously I'm not the type of guy that's going to look at the schedule and see which games I can miss, that's never occurred to me.
"But if there's a way that we can make the season better by missing a game here and there, I'm open to it."
Nash begins his 18th season as an NBA player next month.
