The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly expressed an interest in hiring Tom Thibodeau as their new coach.
The Chicago Bulls coach has been linked with a move away from the team this summer, with the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Pelicans also being linked with the 2011 NBA Coach of the Year.
According to the Huffington Post, the Lakers will be pursuing Thibodeau despite Byron Scott still having a year remaining on his deal with the team.
The Lakers finished last in the Pacific Division, missing out on the playoffs for a second straight season.
