Chicago Bulls break Miami Heat's 27-game winning streak in the NBA.

Miami Heat have seen their 27-game winning streak come to an end with a 97-101 defeat to the Chicago Bulls.

The result means that their streak - the second longest in NBA history - falls six games short of the overall record held by the 1972 Los Angeles Lakers.

The Heat trailed by three points heading into the final quarter, but could not snatch victory from the jaws of defeat having done so 11 times previously.

Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer did the damage for the hosts, while LeBron James scored 32 points to win the MVP award.

However, it was not enough to prevent defeat.
