Brett Brown has said that beating the Brooklyn Nets was vital for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Evan Turner clinched the win in overtime yesterday evening with a three-pointer inside the final 20 seconds of the extra period.
The coach told reporters: "We needed to get that win for the sanity of the group, keeping our group together, holding hope.
"For those reasons as that ball is hanging on a rim and then decides to fall in, for us, given where we are, that is an important win."
The result leaves the 76ers with a 8-19 record this season.
