Coach Terry Stotts has signed a multi-year contract extension to keep him with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Blazers won their first playoff series since the 1999-2000 NBA season this year, beating the Houston Rockets in the first round before being knocked out by the San Antonio Spurs in their semi-final earlier this week.
The team's general manager, Neil Olshey, said in a statement: "Terry has done an outstanding job during his first two years with the organisation.
"This extension illustrates our confidence in him as our head coach as well as the Portland Trail Blazers' continued commitment to building a model of consistency and stability."
The Blazers finished the regular season with 54 wins, their most since 2009.
