Vlade Divac named as Sacramento Kings general manager

The Sacramento Kings announce that they have promoted Vlade Divac to the role of general manager.

Vlade Divac has been named the general manager of the Sacramento Kings.

Following his retirement Divac spent time as a scout, but was then hired as head of operations at Real Madrid basketball club before leaving the position.

The Serb was hired by the Kings as their vice-president of basketball and franchise operations in March, but has now been promoted to be general manager of the club.

Divac won two silver medals at the Olympics in 1988 and 1996 while representing Yugoslavia.
