Gregg Popovich: 'We struggled to keep up intensity'

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich feels that his side struggled to match the offensive scoring of the Miami Heat in the fourth quarter of their game two defeat.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich believes that his side tried too hard to match the individual play of the Miami Heat in their game two defeat in the NBA Finals.

The Heat tied the series at 1-1 with their 98-96 victory at the AT&T Center in a tight contest, which saw the visitors pull away from the Spurs due to their superior offensive play in the fourth quarter.

"The ball stuck to us," Popovich told reporters. "I think we were trying to do it, we didn't do it as a group. We tried to do it individually and we're not good enough to do that."

Game three of the Finals takes place on Tuesday.
