IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker has insisted that he feels "as fit as ever" ahead of his showdown with Felix Sturm on Saturday.
Barker will be attempting to defend a world title for the first time when he steps into the ring in Stuttgart at the weekend, and the Barnet boxer has revealed that he has been happy with his preparations ahead of the bout.
The 31-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It's about not doing too much. I like to have that feeling of wanting to do more.
"I'm not going to get any fitter, because I feel as fit as ever. It's just about being nice and sharp and getting a few rounds in."
