Ricky Burns will make the first defence of his WBO lightweight title against Kevin Mitchell in Glasgow.
The bout, which has been scheduled for September 22, will see the two best domestic fighter go head to head for a world title.
Burns was crowned champion in his last fight against Paulus Moses after beating Mitchell's conqueror Michael Katsidis to win the interim strap in November.
A fight with the Dagenham man has been in the pipeline for a while, with the original bout having been pencilled in for the controversial David Haye vs. Dereck Chisora bill at Upton Park.
However, those plans were scrapped when the British Boxing Board of Control threatened to take action against anyone who takes part in that show.
Despite that disappointment, Frank Warren has now successfully matched his two fighters in what should be an eagerly-anticipated contest.
