European super-middleweight champion James DeGale has insisted that his fight with Hadillah Mohoumadi represents a new start in his career.
It is DeGale's first bout since he signed with promoter Mick Hennessey and the 26-year-old believes that after a couple of 12-round fights, he will be ready to compete with IBF super-middleweight champion Carl Froch in a year's time.
DeGale told BBC Radio 5 Live: "After a couple of 12-rounders, I will be ready to mix it with Froch.
"The super-middleweight division is probably the best out there at the minute and there are some decent fights out there for me in Kenny Anderson, Brian Magee or a rematch with George Groves.
"Andre Ward is by himself out the front but the rest of them I'd box next week."
DeGale has won 12 of his 13 professional fights.
