Welsh featherweight Lee Selby could face three-division world champion Nonito Donaire if he can overcome Romulo Koasicha on Saturday night.
The encounter with Koasicha is a WBC eliminator, and with a victory putting Selby one fight away from a world title bout, promoter Eddie Hearn has already reached out to Filipino combatant Donaire in an attempt to provisionally agree a match for later in 2014.
Hearn told the Daily Mail: "Saturday is a huge night for Selby, who is not only a Welshman fighting at home but is also a fight or two away from fighting for the WBC title.
"I really like Nonito Donaire next for Selby. There are talks of him moving up to featherweight and we could make that as a final eliminator for a shot at WBC champion Jhonny Gonzalez."
Sports Mole will be providing live text commentary of Selby's contest with Koasicha, along with the rest of the bill in Cardiff, on Saturday evening.
