Australian boxer Michael Katsidis believes that he can convince Ricky Hatton to come back into the ring next year despite retiring in July.
The former IBF light welterweight champion officially hung up his gloves four months ago and announced his decision to become a trainer.
Despite his own omission from boxing, Katsidis has revealed that the opportunity to fight the Mancunian is a "reality".
"I want to bring England one of their own and one of the biggest fighters they have ever had and that's Ricky Hatton," Katsidis told Boxnation.
"We can meet halfway on the weight. I was talking to Graham Earl, who is a good friend of Ricky's, the other night and he says this fight can happen. We've started talking already and this is a reality."
Hatton is scheduled to have his first session as a trainer on November 12.
