Wladimir Klitschko hits out at Tyson Fury

Wladimir Klitschko hits out at Tyson Fury for "dragging boxing through the mud".

Wladimir Klitschko has accused troubled heavyweight champion Tyson Fury of "dragging boxing through the mud".

The Ukrainian had been due to fight Fury in a rematch in July, but the fight was rescheduled to October, then postponed again before being called off entirely after the Brit was deemed "medically unfit" to compete.

Fury has since admitted to taking "lots of cocaine" and experiencing depression, as well as declaring that he is unsure if he will live beyond the end of the year.

In an interview with German newspaper Bild, Klitschko said: "Fury is dragging boxing through the mud."

Klitschko's manager Bernd Boente added: "This just shows how unfair Fury is. He stalls with Wladimir. He blocks the world title."

The British Boxing Board of Control has confirmed that it will meet next week to discuss whether to revoke Fury's licence.
