Chris Eubank Jnr defeated Gary O'Sullivan in their middleweight bout on Saturday night, with his opponent being pulled out by his corner at the end of the seventh round.
The 26-year-old dominated the fight from the off and put the Irishman on the back foot with a series of well-timed uppercuts from the first bell.
Eubank was landing plenty of clean shots, but O'Sullivan retaliated and stunned the Englishman on several occasions during an absorbing first three rounds at London's O2 Arena.
The Brit switched his tactics in the fourth - which probably came with a ticking off from his corner - and he bossed the remainder of the fight, although his punches appeared to lack the same spite that they did during the early stages.
In rounds six and seven, Eubank was in full control, despite seemingly taking his foot off the pedal given the amount of work he had already put in, but at the end of the seventh, O'Sullivan's corner opted to save their man from further punishment.
As a result of the win, Eubank becomes mandatory challenger for the WBA title, which is currently held by Daniel Jacobs.
