British super-middleweight Callum Smith has recorded the 10th win of his professional career with a third-round stoppage of Francois Bastient.
The Liverpudlian was making his first appearance in six months after injury, but he showed little signs of ring rust against the durable Frenchman.
Bastient had only been stopped three times, all due to cuts, in his 54-fight career, but Smith never looked in danger against the 32-year-old.
Smith easily took the opening two rounds before early in the third, he connected with a huge right to Bastient's body that saw his corner throw in the towel.
The 23-year-old's next bout will be against Tobias Webb in Cardiff on May 17.
