Ashley Williams: 'I feel no pressure'

Wales boxer Ashley Williams says that he feels "no pressure" at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

Wales boxer Ashley Williams has insisted that he feels "no pressure" at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

The light-flyweight advanced into the quarter-finals of the competition on Monday after overcoming Juliano Maquina of Mozambique.

"There is no pressure at this tournament. I am here to do my job, the same as the rest of the boys. There is no pressure on me and no pressure on the boys," he told Sports Mole.

"We have been told to 'go out there and enjoy yourself'. The person in front of us has more pressure than we do because our coaches are very good and dealing with that – how we react to certain situations and how we deal with the fights.

"I owe my family a hell of a lot for all this, especially my wife so I would like to thank them for coming and hopefully I can get them back for the final."

Williams's next fight is on Wednesday.
