Mike Hussey says that he feels for Australia due to their 2-0 deficit in the Ashes series.

Former Australian batsman Mike Hussey has claimed that he has been in touch with the national side to lend his support during their dismal Ashes campaign.

The Aussies are 2-0 down in the series following England's 347-run victory at Lord's, meaning that the hosts only need to draw the third Test in order to retain the Ashes.

"I feel for the guys," Sport24 quotes Hussey as saying. "I've certainly been in that situation as well where we haven't been playing that well and losing games, and it's a horrible feeling in the dressing room.

"I've been in touch with a few of the guys through text messaging. I know they're very proud to be wearing the baggy green cap and I'm sure we'll see a revival in the last few Test matches."

The third Test gets underway at Old Trafford on Thursday.
