Australia coach Darren Lehmann admits that his side's batting performance was "disappointing" as they were bowled out for 128 runs at Lord's.

Australia coach Darren Lehmann has revealed his disappointment with his side's batting performance in their first innings of the second Ashes Test.

The Baggy Greens were bowled out for just 128 runs at Lord's as they collapsed from 42-0 in the afternoon session, Graeme Swann taking 5-44.

Lehmann told reporters: "It was a bad day. We didn't bat well, full stop. It's certainly disappointing as a coach [that your messages aren't getting through].

"We know we have to get it right quickly, there's no doubt about that. We're not shying away from that issue at all. Our shot selection was poor today. Simple as that."

England lead by 264 runs despite losing three late wickets late in the day.
