England one win away from becoming world number one Test side.

England have soared to victory at Trent Bridge to claim their second Test win of the series against India.

The home side secured the win with a 319-run victory over their opponents at Trent Bridge, leaving them poised to become the number one Test side in the world.

England rose to a massive 544 all out in the second innings, which left India struggling to reach 478 runs. The visitors ended on a tally of 158.

Yorkshire all-rounder Tim Bresnan recorded 90 runs as well as racking up his first Test five-wicket.

While there are still two Tests remaining, England’s 2-0 lead dispels defeat and one more victory will crown them series winner.
