England have announced that Ben Stokes will feature in their squad for the upcoming Ashes series with Australia.
The all-rounder made the decision to sit out the Test series with India during the summer in order to rest a finger injury and prioritise his mental health.
With a second operation on the former having taken place earlier this month, the 30-year-old had been expected to remain on the sidelines over the winter.
However, the ECB revealed on Monday morning that Stokes would be part of the group which travels Down Under at the beginning of November.
Stokes told the ECB's official website: "I had a break to prioritise my mental wellbeing and I got my finger sorted. I am looking forward to seeing my mates and being on the field with them. I'm ready for Australia."
The Durham player is expected to play at least one Lions fixture before the Ashes starts on December 8.
