England duo Alastair Cook and Stuart Broad both sat out training on Tuesday with respective back injuries ahead of the winter Ashes.
The two stiffened up during the long-haul flight from London to Perth last week and have both been monitored and treated by the English Cricket Board's medical staff.
Neither the captain nor the bowler are expected to be risked for the Three Lions' upcoming warm-up match against the Western Australia President's XI at the WACA on Thursday.
However, both are likely to be fit for the first Ashes Test on November 21.
