Unbeaten centuries from Chris Rogers and Steve Smith have helped Australia dominate England on day one of the second Ashes Test at Lord's.
The tourists, who are 0-1 down in the five-match series, lost just one wicket before the close of play to finish with a commanding score of 337-1.

Australia started the morning session positively, but the opening partnership of Rogers and David Warner was finally breached in the 15th over when Warner was caught by James Anderson off the bowling of Moeen Ali for 38.
Rogers was then joined at the crease by Smith, and the pair punished England's bowlers with some masterful batting for the remainder of the day.

Both players reached their half-centuries during the afternoon session, though Smith was fortunate to stay in soon after when he was dropped by Ian Bell off the bowling of Ben Stokes as Australia got to 191-1 at tea.
Rogers and Smith continued to attack the hosts after the break before they both made it past the 100-run mark within quick succession of each other. It was the fifth time that Rogers had recorded a Test century, while it was the 10th time for Smith.
England suffered from a severe lack of inspiration with the ball as Rogers, who ended with a career-best score of 158 not out, and Smith (129*) failed to budge at the close of play to put Australia in a strong position.
