The International Cricket Council's playing control team has said that England's opening-day Cricket World Cup defeat to Australia ended incorrectly.
England were highly unlikely to go on to win the match as they were 111 runs behind Australia with just over eight overs to go, but the final wicket should not have fallen as it did.
James Anderson was run out by Glenn Maxwell, but the ball should have been declared dead and the run-out dismissed as umpire Kumar Dharmasena had given Taylor out lbw.
Taylor reviewed the decision and replays showed that the ball from Josh Hazlewood was missing leg stump, so Taylor would have stayed at the crease.
It was especially bad luck for Taylor, who tried to tell the umpires that he thought the ball was dead, as he was unbeaten on 98 and closing in on a century when the match came to a bizarre end.
