Eoin Morgan: "We didn't perform as a unit"

Eoin Morgan blames England's failure to "perform as a unit" for their early exit from the Cricket World Cup.

Captain Eoin Morgan has admitted that his England side have failed to "perform as a unit" throughout their Cricket World Cup campaign.

Today's 15-run defeat at the hands of Bangladesh, which was England's fourth loss in five group matches, has seen Morgan's men exit the competition with a game to spare.

Speaking after the most recent beating, Morgan told Sky Sports News: "It comes down to the performance. We didn't perform as a unit and we've done that for quite a while.

"We've tried to address that but it hasn't worked. To be knocked out this early is disappointing.

"I've no idea what happens from here. There will be an inquest over the next few weeks."

On Friday, England take on Afghanistan, who have also been eliminated.
