England batsman Nick Compton believes that his side are in a strong position following the second day of the third Test against India.
The visitors reached the stumps on 216-1 following a surge from captain Alastair Cook, who remains unbeaten on 136, while Compton managed to reach his first Test half-century before getting dismissed for an lbw.
"To put on 160-odd with the captain and get that score up front is great and it's looking good at the moment," BBC Sport quotes Compton as saying.
"The more time you spend out there the easier it gets, I've tried to work on that and obviously Alastair does that very well. It does get easier, especially in these conditions because the wicket's quite slow and you get used to the pace of the ball."
England will head into the third day in Kolkata 100 runs behind the hosts.
