MS Dhoni prepared for England revival in Test series

MS Dhoni believes that England will soon return to their best form in Test cricket ahead of the series opener at Trent Bridge.

MS Dhoni has admitted that he is expecting an out-of-form England side to produce a response when the Test series begins at Trent Bridge on Wednesday.

England's first series since the Ashes defeat in the winter ended with a defeat to Sri Lanka last month, but India's captain believes that it is inevitable Alastair Cook's side will return to their best form in the longest format in the near future.

"When it comes to international cricket, there comes a phase when every team does really well, and a phase when they won't do too much, or move in the right direction," Dhoni told reporters.

"I would say it is a phase that every team goes through, even the mightiest of teams.

"It may be the form of the players, or a few of the players moving out and new players coming in, but you definitely pass through that, and I feel the England side has very good talent and very good players, so it is just a matter of time before they come back and perform."

England have not won a Test match since beating Australia in Durham last August.
