Chris Jordan has claimed that England need to focus on Sri Lanka, and not the World Cup, as they look to find top form in one-day international cricket.
The squad arrived in Sri Lanka earlier this week for seven ODIs as they step up their preparations for next year's World Cup, but Jordan believes that England cannot afford to look too far ahead.
"Everyone is talking about the World Cup, but for me it's about staying in the moment," the Sussex bowler told the Daily Mail.
"We are a new side and are still getting to know each other. We need to start winning in Sri Lanka to put ourselves in a good position for the World Cup."
England play two tour matches against Sri Lanka A before the first ODI in Colombo next Wednesday.
