Former England batsman Nick Knight has backed James Taylor's return to the one-day international squad.
The 24-year-old, who last played for England's ODI side in 2013, will travel with the Three Lions to Sri Lanka next month for a seven-match tour.
Following an impressive summer at county level, Knight believes that Taylor is deserving of his place back in the international setup.
"I watch a lot of domestic cricket throughout the season and I'm certain there's not a better player at his role in the team, given that he'll come in at any given time," he told Sky Sports News.
"What I like about him is the fact that when the best bowlers are bowling to him he finds a way of scoring runs. He's quite innovative, he's happy to use his feet and he's very difficult to bowl to."
England play their first ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on November 26.
