Kevin Pietersen overcomes a knee problem to be named in the England Test squad to take on New Zealand.

Kevin Pietersen has been included in the England squad to face New Zealand in the second Test which will get underway tomorrow evening.

It had been reported that the 32-year-old may be forced to sit out the encounter in Wellington with an injury to his right knee.

However, having come through a training session earlier today, the Surrey batsman has done enough to prove his fitness and as a result has been named in the match squad.

England squad to face New Zealand: Cook, Compton, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Root, Prior, Broad, Finn, Anderson, Panesar, Woakes
