Jonathan Trott has backed Ian Bell to return to top form during the Test series against Sri Lanka this month.
Bell managed a high score of just 29 in the series against Pakistan last month and has struggled for form in the warm-up matches in Sri Lanka.
However, Trott believes that Bell's experience will help him through his current bad patch.
Trott said: "In the 12 months before the UAE tour [against Pakistan], Ian was probably our leading run-scorer with Alastair Cook.
"He's obviously had a few bad Tests, which is disappointing, but he'll want to put that right.
"I've played a lot of cricket with him for Warwickshire and England so I know his game pretty well. He looks in good touch and he'll be okay."
Trott scored a century on day two of England's match against a Sri Lanka Development XI on Wednesday.
