Australia's Glenn Maxwell has revealed that he is hoping to agree a deal to return to Hampshire next season.
Sunday's T20 Blast quarter-final against Nottinghamshire will be the all-rounder's final game of his second spell at the Ageas Bowl, and he is hoping that it will not be the end of his association with the county.
"I'll be chatting to the coaching group again to get back because I love this place," Maxwell told BBC Radio Solent. "I know I have so much more to offer these guys.
"Hampshire have helped me in a beautiful way. They started my career before international cricket.
"I didn't think I was close but they turned me into an international cricketer, so I still owe them a heap and I would love to come back next year and in future years."
After completing his duties with Hampshire, Maxwell will join up with his fellow Australians for a training camp ahead of the one-day series against Zimbabwe and South Africa.
