India's Rohit Sharma has described his century against Bangladesh as his "most important innings" after helping his nation to a semi-final spot at the World Cup.
Sharma scored 137 runs as the reigning champions secured a comfortable 109-run victory over Bangladesh in Melbourne today.
"I think this is right up there as my most important innings," BBC Sport quotes Sharma as saying. "I wanted to bat for as long as possible to put the team into a good situation and the bowlers did a fantastic job as they did in the league stage.
"Batting at the top of the order, it's important to get big hundreds. I've been given the opportunity and I wanted to make the most of it. I'm happy with the way we performed as a team. We now have two games to go."
India have joined South Africa in the final four, while Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and the West Indies are yet to play.
