Australian spin-bowler Nathan Lyon struck twice in as many overs to restrict India to 135-2 at tea on day two of the fourth Test match in Delhi.
After reaching lunch on 59-0, India continued to dominate the tourists' attack in the afternoon session, with both Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara reaching fifty as their side moved into three figures.
However, the introduction of Lyon had steadied the ship for Australia, and the 25-year-old made the breakthrough by bowling Pujara for 52.
He struck again in his next over, trapping Virat Kohli in front of his stumps for one, as India fell from 108-0 to 114-2.
The home side eventually reached tea 127 runs short of Australia's 262 all out.
