Roston Chase ton leads West Indies to improbable draw against India

A Roston Chase ton, aided by half-centuries from Jermaine Blackwood, Shane Dowrich and Jason Holder, helps West Indies to a draw against India on the final day of the second Test.

An unbeaten century from Roston Chase has helped West Indies claim an unlikely draw against India on the final day of the second Test on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old scored an unbeaten 137 off 269 balls in Kingston and was aided by half-centuries from Jermaine Blackwood, Shane Dowrich and Jason Holder.

Blackwood set the early tone, scoring 63 from just 54 balls before he fell to the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin, while Dowrich passed 50 before being dismissed for 74 by spinner Amit Mishra.

Holder (64 not out) supported the impressive Chase from the other end to see off the last session of the match and tie the Test, though India - who took just two wickets on day five - lead the four-match series 1-0.
