India given a target of 160 to beat Afghanistan in Asia Cup dead rubber

India require 160 to win their dead rubber Asia Cup match as Afghanistan are bowled all out.

India will have to reach 160 runs in order to clinch victory over Afghanistan in their dead rubber Asia Cup match.

Both nations have failed to reach the final of the tournament, but pride is at stake in today's contest, which began with India winning the toss and electing to field.

Noor Ali Zadran and Nawroz Mangal opened the batting for Afghanistan, but Mangal was sent packing after the pair racked up 30 runs, only five of which were scored by Mangal following 16 deliveries.

Rahmat Shah (9) later followed for an lbw, while Ali Zadran was eventually dismissed for 31 by Ravindra Jadeja, who went on to grab four wickets during the innings.

While wickets continued to tumble at Dhaka, Samiullah Shenwari was able to bring a level of composure, but he was the last man to fall after reaching a half-century.

Afghanistan were bowled all out with five overs and four balls remaining.
