Andrew Flintoff marked his return to cricket by taking three wickets for his hometown club St Annes this afternoon.
The former England all-rounder recently confirmed that he was to end his five-year retirement to feature for Lancashire Lightning in their T20 Blast campaign.
Before he could be included for Lancs, the Old Trafford coaching staff wanted to see him in action today for St Annes.
He responded by removing three Penrith batsmen, one of whom he caught off his own bowling.

Fitness permitting, the 36-year-old has been tipped to turn out for Lancs against Yorkshire next Friday.
