Derbyshire have re-signed Martin Guptill as their overseas player for the early part of the 2015 campaign.
The New Zealander previously turned out at the County Ground back in 2011 and also in 2012, when he helped the club to win the Division Two County Championship title.
He will return for the opening six Championship encounters, as well as three T20 Blast fixtures.
"I always wanted to go back to Derbyshire when the time was right. I get on great with the people and have lots of really good memories," the 28-year-old told the club's official website.
"Hopefully I can help my county make a quick start to the season to get them in the promotion mix again, and get the lads off to a flier in the T20 Blast."
Guptill, who is a part of the Kiwis squad for the upcoming one-day international World Cup, has scored three centuries for Derbyshire.
