Kevin Pietersen has become England's highest-paid cricketer after signing a £1.3m deal with the Delhi Daredevils.
The deal breaks the record for the most lucrative IPL contract of a non-Indian, a record that Pietersen had previously shared with Andrew Flintoff.
Pietersen, who had previously represented the Deccan Chargers, will be captained by Indian international Virender Sehwag.
The England batsman said: "I can't wait to watch Viru from 22 yards."
The 31-year-old will begin his stint with the Daredevils immediately after England's tour of Sri Lanka ends in April.
